Do you like to hangout, brainstorm, plan and follow thru with people who are passionate about making life better for pets in Tucson?
Save the Saveable.com is looking for one or two steadfast people to help plan fundraising events. No animal experience required. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org of your interest.
Meetings are held online or via phone, in a private home in Midtown which often includes beer or wine and snacks OR occasionally in a restaurant, if we can score a quiet room (on your own dime, of course). There are some events happening in the not-too-distant future and our small dedicated core group of people need more hands, minds and hearts to help plan and execute. If you have connections that is always a plus, but not required. Enthusiasm and reliability is what matters.
Savethesaveable.com is a campaign of No Kill Pima County. STS draws attention to the more vulnerable animals at the County Shelter, PACC, which might include pets with treatable medical conditions (e.g. Valley Fever), pets with behavioral issues (e.g. separation anxiety), seniors and any pet that has just been waiting at the shelter too long!
NKPC is not a rescue but an advocacy group working to create a community that saves the savable pets by implementing what is called the “No Kill Equation,” advocating for the policies and services that keep animals out of shelters, care best for them while they are in shelters and get them out to appropriate placements as soon as possible.
